Rome is an extremely popular destination for couples wanting a City break.
Parts of Rome can be dated back more than 2,500 years so the city is overwhelmed with history.
Home to the Vatican City, Easter and Christmas are highlights of Rome’s calendar although the tourist season is all year round as visitors flock to the many atractions such as St. Peter’s Basilica and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescos. Also be sure not to miss The Colosseum, Forum and Pantheon which bear witness to Rome’s Imperial past.
If you feel like a break from peeling back the layers of history be tempted by designer shopping or take a seat in a cafe eat to your hearts content, sip the wine and watch the world go by.
